Hello! I’m a random girl and welcome to my random blog about life, the Peace Corps process, adventures, and who knows what else.
My name is Ciara and I recently graduated from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale with a bachelor’s degree in Special Education. I was born and raised in a small town in central Illinois and I am in the process of getting my clearances from the Peace Corps. If all goes well my blogs will be coming from Macedonia in September.
Currently, I am working as a special education teacher in a small Illinois town. I spend half of my day teaching math to students with special needs at the high school and the other half of my day co-teaching at the junior high. I also had the joy of coaching the junior high girls volleyball team.
In my free time I enjoy:
Reading any books I can get my hands on
Sketching when I find time
Taking photos and pretending they are good
Watching bands play
Going camping and canoeing as much as possible
Hiking in new places
